i'd go for a relief pitcher, someone to set up other than farnsworth. _________________ Ninety feet between home plate and first base may be the closest man has ever come to perfection. ~Red Smith
Here's what we'll tell our kids: He looked like an alien, and threw like a god. He had one pitch -- and with that one pitch, like David with one rock in a slingshot, he could fell any foe. With that one pitch he could escape any danger. With that one pitch he could intimidate any lineup. With that one pitch he won world titles. With that one pitch he pitched his way to the Hall of Fame. With that one pitch he performed surgery. With that one pitch he wrote poems. With that one pitch he sang songs. Makes sense to me. Anything that gets Farnsworth off the team is good. |

i wouldn't mind that, madson is up and coming, he could challenge for maybe the setup role in a couple of years, and even though floyd was struggling in the majors, he still has some promise. of course i'm also a phillies fan so i just hope that farnsworth doesn't blow all their saves for them... _________________ Ninety feet between home plate and first base may be the closest man has ever come to perfection. ~Red Smith

| The Yankees actually DUMPED salary?! No way! They won this trade too, Humberto Sanchez could be a stud if he gets past all of his injuries. |

This tells me a couple of things. First, they traded for talent that could help them in the future. Secondly, that means they are not done yet getting bullpen help. In fact, far from it.
By the way, good riddance Sheffield. |

Great deal for getting rid of Shef, but who are they gonna get in the pen?
Sanchez is a stud though, great job on landing him. _________________
